Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account details: name, email address, and password (or your Google account info, if you sign in with Google)
• Candidate profile data: headline, location, bio, skills, experience, resume files
• Recruiter & company data: company profile, job postings
• Application data: applications you submit or receive, cover letters, application status

When you upload a resume, its text is extracted and sent to OpenAI’s API to generate a summary, an extracted skill list, and a quality score. When candidate-job matching runs, your profile and resume data is sent to OpenAI along with a job’s description to produce a match score and explanation. This data is sent solely to generate these results and is subject to OpenAI’s own data usage policies for API traffic.

• To operate core features: accounts, job postings, applications, AI matching
• To show recruiters your profile and resume when you apply to their job
• To show candidates job postings and AI match scores
• To maintain and secure your account session

We share data only as needed to run the Service:

• Recruiters: see your profile, resume, and cover letter when you apply to their job posting
• OpenAI: processes resume text and profile data to generate summaries, skills, and match scores
• Google: if you choose “Continue with Google,” we receive your name, email, and profile photo from your Google account
• Infrastructure providers: our hosting (Vercel), database (Neon/PostgreSQL), and file storage (Vercel Blob) providers store data on our behalf and don’t use it for their own purposes

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Resumes are stored as files in Vercel Blob storage; profile, job, and application data is stored in a PostgreSQL database. We use industry-standard practices (encrypted connections, hashed passwords, session-based authentication) to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.

We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual resumes at any time from your dashboard. If you want your account and associated data deleted entirely, contact us and we’ll process the request.

You can, at any time:

• Update your profile information from your dashboard
• Delete individual resumes you’ve uploaded
• Withdraw a job application
• Request a copy of your data, or full account deletion, by contacting us

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

The Service is not directed at anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
